ChefTec xt Offers Increased Functionality and Enhancements
NUTRITION CAPABILITIES GREATLY EXPANDED
BOULDER, Colo.- June 28, 2013 -- ChefTec xt has been released from Culinary Software Services (CSS). New features and functionality added to new versions are developed as a result of direct feedback received from customers using ChefTec every day in the efficient management of their foodservice operation.
An area of increasing interest to the foodservice industry and its customers is the nutrient content of menu items and packaged foods. Version xt will provide greater flexibility and customer customization in this functionality. Multiple serving sizes for recipes will be available for Nutritional Analysis purposes. Also, the Nutrition Facts labels will be customizable with customer logos, barcodes, prices and batch numbers.
"Upcoming laws and customer expectations have led to extensive functionality enhancements," says Bev Daniels, General Manager of CSS. "For the past several years, nutrition has been at the forefront of the foodservice industry. With more and more consumers looking at calorie counts and ingredients, we wanted our ChefTec users to be able to quickly and easily offer that information to their customers."
Inventory control has been expanded specifically with ordering. The Reinhart EDI interface now includes ordering which is a huge time saver. Individual inventory "trigger values" can now be used to ordering to bring an ingredient up to par and a safety limitation has been added to prevent multiple users from updating the same order at the same time.
Several new Reports are now available in ChefTec xt:
- Discrepancy report that shows what has been ordered and received.
- Bid History report that displays a history of inventory item bid prices for specific purveyors.
- Recipe - Nutrient Detail report that includes a breakdown of each ingredient in a recipe and the contribution of nutrients toward the total recipe.
New features and functionality are always being added to ChefTec software to ensure it remains a leader for back-of-house software in the foodservice industry.
