ChefTec Modular System Alows Users to Pick Functionality They Need

TO BE DEMONSTRATED AT UPCOMING TRADE SHOWS

BOULDER, Colo. - February 23, 2012 -- Culinary Software Services has retooled ChefTec TT to create a modular system for their suite of ChefTec products. The new modular system will allow for complete customization of foodservice software based on individual needs. Modules that may be added to different versions within the ChefTec range include: Production Management, Waste Tracking, Lot Tracking, Alerts & Reminders, and HACCP. The new modular system will be on display at four upcoming trade shows.

The Production Management Module (PMM) keeps ordering and production schedules tight and precise. Users can automatically create prep and production sheets based on menus, requisitions, sales data, and/or user defined par levels. Master Production Sheets can be split into multiple Location Production Sheets for food preparation by area.

The Waste Tracking Module (WTM) allows for the tracking and analysis of waste. Reports provide summary and detailed information on trends related to waste in a foodservice operation. Waste tracking reduces over-purchasing as well as disposal and hauling costs.

The Lot Tracking Module (LTM) provides complete lot tracking from receipt of inbound ingredients from vendors to produced food that is ultimately shipped to customers. ChefTec's LTM provides both forward traceability from ingredients to customer shipments of produced items and backward traceability from customer shipments, to manufactured batches and finally to ingredient recipes from Vendors.

The Alerts & Reminders Module (ARM) allows the user to create their own schedule of alerts and reminders for tasks that need to be completed in ChefTec.

The HACCP Information Module (HIM) provides users with a comprehensive Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point information system for food handling. HACCP can be used to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized. The system is used at all stages of food production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution, etc. HIM comes pre-loaded with specific handling and storage instructions for different types of food and allows users to customize data for each inventory item as needed.
